The Chief Minister of Tripura has launched a new initiative aimed at supporting board toppers in the state. Under the Tripura CM SATH Scheme Registration, students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5000 and annual benefits amounting to Rs. 60,000. The state government has announced 200 scholarships that will be distributed across all eight districts of Tripura, including West Tripura, North Tripura, South Tripura, Dhalai, Unakoti, Khowai, Sepahijala, and Gomati.

On 23rd September 2024, Chief Minister Manik Saha launched the CM-SATH Scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students who excel in their Class 10th and 12th board examinations. According to the official Tripura CM SATH Scheme Notification 2024, the top 100 students in the Madhyamik (Class 10) examination will receive support for two years, while the top 100 students in the Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination will receive support for three years. In total, 200 students from the Tripura Board of Secondary Education will benefit from this scholarship.

The objective of the Tripura CM-SATH Scheme

• The primary objective of launching this scheme is to provide financial support to meritorious students for higher education.
• Another objective of the scheme is to motivate students to achieve better academic results by rewarding high performers.
• The scheme aims to reduce the financial burden on students and their families to ensure uninterrupted education.
• The scheme aims to offer assistance at both Madhyamik and Higher Secondary levels to a wide range of students.
• The scheme aims to facilitate access to quality higher education opportunities for deserving students across the state.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scheme

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tripura.
• The scheme selects meritorious students based on academic performance.
• 100 students will be chosen from the Madhyamik level (Class 10) and 100 from the Higher Secondary level (Class 12).
• Applicants must be pursuing education at either the Madhyamik level or the Higher Secondary level.
• 200 students will be selected from different regions of Tripura which include:

1. 152 students from the block level
2. 12 students from the Nagar Panchayat level
3. 26 students from the Municipal Council level
4. 10 students from the Agartala Municipal Corporation level
